This guide walks through assigning areas to reps, managing active canvassing zones, tracking rep activity, and improving team efficiency using Roofing Redline's built-in tools.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Step 1: Assigning Areas to Reps

Enter Area Mode

  1. Tap the Map icon from the bottom menu.

  2. If youโ€™re in Knock Mode, switch to Areas Mode using the toggle at the top of the map.

Create a New Area

  1. Tap Add Area.

  2. Tap on the map to draw the area boundary (e.g., outlining a neighborhood).

  3. Name the area based on:

    • The repโ€™s name

    • The neighborhood

    • Or any relevant label

  4. Select:

    • The office

    • A color (optional, but helps with visual clarity)

  5. Tap Save.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Step 2: Assign Reps to the Area

  1. After saving, the rep assignment screen will appear.

  2. If youโ€™ve chosen an office, youโ€™ll see only reps from that office.

    • Tap All Reps to see the full rep list.

  3. Select one or more reps to assign the area.

  4. Tap the checkmark to confirm.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Assigned reps will receive a notification that a new area has been assigned to them.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Step 3: How Reps View Their Areas

Reps can find assigned areas by:

  1. Opening the Map in Knock Mode.

  2. Tapping the Layers icon at the top.

  3. Selecting My Areas to see zones assigned to them.

  4. Tapping an area to zoom in and begin canvassing.

โœ๏ธ Step 4: Edit or Rename an Area

As a manager:

  1. Go back to Area Mode.

  2. Tap an existing area.

  3. You can:

    • Drag boundaries to adjust it

    • Rename the area

    • View activity logs

๐Ÿ” Step 5: View Knock Activity and Track Reps

Switch to Manager Mode

  1. Tap the Home screen.

  2. Toggle to Manager Mode at the top.

View Knock Logs

  1. Tap on a calendar date to view knocks for that day.

  2. Tap on a repโ€™s name to see their specific knock path.

Interpret the Knock Path

  • ๐ŸŸฅ Red Line = Rep was not near the home when disposition was marked.

  • ๐ŸŸฉ Green Line = Rep was on location (GPS-verified).

This helps with rep accountability and verifies real canvassing activity.

๐Ÿ† Step 6: Use the Leaderboard for Rep Performance

  1. Tap the Trophy icon from the bottom menu.

  2. Switch between views:

    • Today

    • This Week

    • This Month

  3. Track:

    • Number of knocks

    • Appointments set

    • Deals Closed

This data supports team motivation and gives managers insight into individual and group performance.

๐ŸŽฏ Tips for Efficient Rep Management

  • Use colors to group reps visually.

  • Regularly check knock verification lines.

  • Encourage reps to monitor the leaderboard for healthy competition.

  • Update or adjust areas as new campaigns or locations emerge.
