🏁 Step 1: Start from the Canvassing Section

  1. Open the Roofing Redline app.

  2. Navigate to the Canvassing section.

  3. Select the homeowner/customer you’re working with.

🛠️ Step 2: Launch the Fast Estimate Tool

  1. On the customer's page, tap the Tools button.

  2. Select Fast Estimate (⚠️ Do not use the Proposal tool directly here—it will not pull in roof measurements.)

🏗️ Step 3: Select and Modify the Roof

  1. Highlight the roof by tapping on the structure.

  2. You can:

    • Select multiple structures.

    • Add another structure by tapping Add Roof and outlining it by tapping points to form a polygon.

  3. Modify the shape:

    • Tap and drag existing points to adjust.

    • Tap the dot between lines to create new corners (useful for outcroppings or unusual shapes).

📐 Step 4: Input Pitch and Pricing

  1. After finalizing your measurements, tap Next.

  2. Enter the roof pitch to improve accuracy.

  3. Adjust the waste percentage using the slider.

  4. Enter a general price if desired (optional – this won't affect the final quote from the proposal template).

📄 Step 5: Convert Estimate to Proposal

  1. Tap the Create Proposal button.

  2. Choose from your available proposal templates.

    • 📌 If you don't see templates, reach out to your admin.

    • 🧑‍💼 Admins can contact Roofing Redline Support for help setting these up.

✏️ Step 6: Edit and Customize the Proposal

  1. Tap Edit Quote to review the:

    • Total square footage

    • Cost per square (based on the template’s default pricing)

  2. Select different quote options or add new quotes as needed.

  3. Customize the proposal layout:

    • Add or remove pages

    • Upload project photos

    • Add text, PDFs, or a custom cover image

🧾 Step 7: Refine Quote Display

  • Modify how quotes appear (e.g., hide price per unit).

  • Ensure the homeowner sees only what you intend to share.

📤 Step 8: Share the Proposal

You can:

  • Download as a PDF

  • Send via Text or Email

  • Use the built-in Sign feature (recommended):

    • Triggers a notification when the homeowner views the proposal

    • Allows for easy tracking of proposal status

Note: Email and SMS will use your phone’s native apps (e.g., Mail or Messages). Be sure your work email is set up on your device.

🔁 Step 9: Track Proposal Status

  • Proposal status will automatically update (e.g., to “Signed” when completed).

  • You can also manually adjust status or edit proposal details.
